Your Favorite Super/Turbo-Charged Vehicle?

My fully loaded 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged; the last year they used a supercharger instead of a turbo. Quite a fun power package, max boost is 12.5 psig, 5-speed manual, fabulous brakes, corners well. Terrible huge turning radius, absolutely crap interior and AC; although the heated seats are nice in the winter. Geared high so its a bit tricky to be smooth and must be careful in first not to spin tires.

I've recently felt a loss of power and then heard a wooshing sound on moderate acceleration. Turns out GM cars tend to develop fractures in the flexible section between exhaust manifold and catylitic converter. A $225 trip to the muffler shop and problem solved and oddly enough power seems to have increased. Idle was rough and now its smooth. I was thinking it was time to change the plugs but fixing the exhaust seems to have fixed that also. Maybe the engine computer changed the mix because sensors upstream and downstream were not in agreement. I have 84,500 miles on it now.

I bought it in 2011 IIRC, for $12,000 with 18,000 miles on it. I just changed out the headlights and that has made a big difference in appearance and ease of night driving. Last fall I had all the shocks replaced. It was probably about time, but made zero difference in the ride and clunking on rough road. Did improve road feel on smooth road.

That looks awesome. I had no idea something like that was available in 89.

Yea, it was JDM, Aus and Europe.

Can you imagine the amount of vacuum lines required to kill the super to engage the turbo? Insane. "Mighty Car Mods" on you tube has a few videos of this in action. Not super powered, but it looks like a lot of fun.
