Red Bull certainly did a better job with tire strategy this weekend than they did a week ago.

They did, but it was partially luck and the fact that Merc runs a higher downforce car due to their extra PU power. This gets worse hotter track temp. And it'll be even worse today cause Pirelli brought in softer compounds.

Wonder how today is going to play out? Don't tell me, it'll be *hours* until I can watch the race. :)

Actually, Pirelli brought its 3 hardest compounds to Barcelona.

Remember that Barcelona was the site of the pre-season test. Each of the teams had already driven between 10 and 14 complete race distances around that track this year.

So it must have been last week they had the softest ones.

Just finished the race, was a good one. Nice to see Seb get some points. And RP did a very good job.

For the first Silverstone race, Hard was C1 (hardest), Medium was C2 and Soft was C3. For the second Silverstone race, Hard was C2, Medium was C3 and Soft was C4. At Barcelona, they went back to the hardest options C1, C2 & C3.

BTW if you like F1, you should watch Marc Priestleys youtube channel. Ex McLaren mechanic, was team lead for one of Lewis' races.

Great insight, here is his latest video.

Well, until they find the second comings of Frank Williams and Patrick Head, they'll be permanent backmarkers.

Williams are by far the most improved team on the grid in 2020. That's because of how terrible they were previously. They were the only team to get slower in the previous couple of years instead of faster every year.

You could put Lewis Hamilton in a Williams and he'd be unlikely to score a point. What I would find very entertaining would be to see how George Russell could do if he were driving Hamilton's Mercedes W11.
