Got an interesting week coming up. No more byes left, and even with a 7th seed, many teams are going to be scrambling to stay in the hunt. Also, will the NFC East Champions be somewhat competent? They're still on track for an 8-8 or 7-9 winner, but the Giants and Football Teamers beat good teams last week. Might want to start respecting what's going on in DC and Jersey.
At any rate, I'm picking the Jets to remain winless this week. Seattle are in close competition, so they need the home win. While Philly believes Hurts is the answer to all their problems, I remain unconvinced, so I expect the Saints to bring heartbreak to town. Finally, I'm picking Green Bay because the Packers tend to handle the Lions even when Detroit has a real head coach.
Hard to pick a good game to watch. You could go with the Cardinals--who have lost 3 straight after a promising start--against the aforementioned Giants. You could see the Chiefs return to Miami. Will it be a triumphant win for KC, or will Flores the the 'Fins upset? My main picks to watch are going to be Sunday and Monday Night Football(s). The Bills pulled off a pretty big win in Pittsburgh last year. Now both teams look better and we're in Buffalo. Plus the Steelers are coming off their first loss of 2020. MNF hosts the other relevant AFC North teams, where the 2nd place Browns (yes, really) are facing off against the 7-5 Ravens (who went 14-2 in 2019). It's an important game for each team, and will likely set the tone for the rest of the regular season.

Week 14 - League Status
Definitely had some division shuffling since Week 8. A string of trouble for the 9ers and Cards bumped the NFC West down a spot, allowing the AFC North to jump ahead. The NFC North also slipped a bit, tying them with the AFC West and NFC South at .521. The East remains on the bottom...probably for the rest of the season.

The New Head Coach situation does look a bit rosier now thanks to recent wins by Rivera and Judge, boosting the overall record from .371 just a few weeks ago, and although the New New HCs are still boasting a better overall record, I'm willing to chalk some of the Cowboys' trouble up to a terrible, terrible QB situation.

P.S.: FiveThirtyEight says that Colts-Raiders is the game to watch this week because the loser could miss the playoffs, while the loser of the Steelers-Bills game is probably still going to play in the postseason.
There have been 11 midseason coach firings over the past five NFL seasons. According to ESPN Stats & Information Group, the same teams performed better across the board after their coaches got their walking papers. But a dead cat is still a dead cat, and “stronger” is relative. A .396 winning percentage is better than .270, but a team winning 6.3 games in a season won’t make most NFL fanbases much happier than winning 4.3.

Well that's a surprise spark out of the Eagles to stay alive in 2020! Combined with GB's win, the Saints are now the #2 seed in the NFC thanks to the Week 3 tiebreaker. Speaking of the Packers, today's win clinches the NFC North for them, while KC's win in Miami (despite 3 Mahomes picks) seals the 5th straight AFC West title. The Colts haven't quite secured their postseason, but a definitive win in Vegas keeps them in the running for the AFC South title with possible Wild Card safety.

I'm willing to blame Zimmer. His team has had special teams problems for YEARS (remember Blair Walsh?), and now, despite replacing ST coordinators, we've got a solid vet missing 4. Regardless, I'm not ready to blame Bailey for that.
OTOH, the turf in Tampa could be weird. I know I've seen a couple of unexpected injuries happen in that stadium (I think Rodgers has tweaked something more than once), so that could be another factor to consider.

I know I said that the Jets would probably win a game this year...but looking at the schedule, I might be wrong. They have the Rams this week--who I pick to win--the Browns next, and to close the season, the ailing Patriots in New England. Adam Gase might be 0-16 #3.
But I'm also taking other picks against bad teams this week, including the Ravens over the Jags and Steelers over the Bengals. The Indy pick is a little middling, since it is an in-division game, but the Colts already got the win in Houston, and they need another for a shot at the division. I also like the Packers over Panthers. That brings us to KC in New Orleans. Here are two teams fighting for a #1 seed. Sean Payton is good, but the Chiefs have been super reliable this year. Regardless, this is my game of the week. Should be the most fun to watch.
If you're looking for something else to watch, how about the technically-still-alive Eagles against the Cards in AZ? Or you could check out the Browns and Giants, who are both in serious playoff contention. Yes, despite the losing record in Jersey. The game with the highest potential for drama is in DC, though, where the Washington TBD's continue their playoff bid against one of the NFC's best, and with how their defense has been playing, they've got a real shot at downing the 'hawks.
As a final thought going into this week, we might get the Washington Football Team's new name soon. I figured the earliest reveal would be if/when they made the 2020 playoffs, and now they are the only NFC East team who could (possibly) score a winning record (Giants could only break even). It would suck to enter the postseason without a real name, and unless Dan Snyder has been sitting on his hands this whole time, the team should have a new name mostly figured out by now. Guess we could see in a couple weeks.
